Since the arrival of 2020 we all know that we've been restricted with travel so we've decided
that we should include some information and photographs of great areas we've been to in Australia.
No particular years just a variety of places to visit mainly in NSW and Victoria for the moment.

  • Lots of places to visit and some on the world heritage list.  Our boardwalk at Urunga is on the bucket list of the top 100 to visit and a stunning place as well.
  • Mount Kosziusko is a long walk from the chairlift but well worth the visit with some amazing vistas.  The Great Ocean Road in Victoria has some world heritage sites including what remains of the 12 Apostles.
  • A lot of The Blue Mountains is heritage listed with some wonderful photo opportunities.  Near Katoomba is Scenic World with cable cars, historic mines and more, also the Zigzag historic railway at Lithgow.
  • Not to be missed is the Jenolan caves.  One of the best cave visits we've had so far in the world.  Travel inland to The Japanese Gardens at Cowra a friendship garden and memorial to the Japanese prisoners of war.  Great places to see also on The South Coast of NSW including the beautiful town of Eden including historic areas from the Whale Hunting Era.
  • Recently we did a road trip from Urunga NSW to Perth WA.  Approximately 7,000 klms. there and back taking our time of 10 days travel each way.  Be prepared for long distances of seeing nothing but there are some great places to visit on the way.  Griffith NSW is a vibrant inland city in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area with lots of large vineyards and wineries and a rich Italian and other ethnic backgrounds.  Coastal areas to stop off at in SA are lovely picturesque towns like Coffin Bay, Streaky Bay, Tumby Bay, Renmark and more.  Kalgoorlie and Coolgardieare rich in gold mining nd other mineral mining history.  Rottnest Island is well worth the ferry ride on a day trip or stay in various accommodation there.  Perth and Fremantle are great cities to visit with several museums, old jails, lots of historical buildings and of course the Perth Mint.
